1st Prime Time of 2018

Before anything Prime Time started by talking about a trip to Fort Vancouver. After that trip was settled they dived right into prayer. Then they sang three Hymens, after each one they talked about different things they could pray about, such as things going on with family or something good that has happened.
After all of this the message portion of the day happened, and to topic was sin, and what they thought sin consisted off.
Pastor Rob’s personal definition of sin is this: “Sin is being and acting consciously aware of one’s existence outside of God.”
To end Prime Time at their tables they had prayer time, going over the things that were brought up earlier in the morning. To end the day they had a potluck.

Message verses:
Romans 5:12-20
Romans 2:14-15
Genesis 3:8-13
Romans 7:13

Ignite Youth Group January 3rd

Ignite Youth Group January 3rd, 2018

Our Family night started back up on January 3rd, and our youth group may have been on the smaller side, but we were all having a good time. Everyone got to play in the games, and we had two winners in our raffle. One of our games was to see how many cookies someone could stack on their head, the catch the cookies were Nilla Wafers.  When it came time to worshiping the teens were very into it and singing and dancing.

The message portion was a great one to start the New Year’s off.

Most people set New Year’s resolutions or goals. So Pastor Robbie talked about setting one goal: “Spending time with Jesus.”

When we set goals and not accomplish them than we feel bad about ourselves and maybe even not bother with that goal anymore. But we should make one goal, and that goal is to spend more time with Jesus. When we set this goal it makes us want to read the Bible (instead of setting the goal to read the Bible every day because sometimes we miss a day and not follow through), to worship (since this brings us closer to Him), and even wanting to live holy. This is all coming from setting one goal, spending time with Jesus.

The verses he used in his message were: Mark 10:16-22, and Matthew 6:19-21
