Cleaning the Classrooms

Our Children's Pastor has been hard at work the past two weeks updating the classrooms. There are still things to get done, but it is working out great and things look so much brighter and welcoming.

Our 2-5 class has been made bigger by taking a wall down, then she has painted it bright blue. The projector and screen has been moved over for the kids to watch videos that follow the curriculum.

Our 6-10 class has been given a face lift. It has been painted gray and a new sound system has been put in. Along with a new cork boars and white board.

There are things to still be done but it has started and things look so new! She is looking for some people willing to donate some trim. (she will give you a piece so you can match it up) so the 6-10 can get done faster!

Candy Needed!!

We are need of pre wrapped candy that will fit into plastic eggs. We also need more plastic eggs. Our Easter Egg Hunt will be March 31st. So we will need everything before then! Thank you for everything!

Changing it up

Our Youth Pastors after 7 years are stepping down and opening their own business. So February 11th is their last day at Riverview. We are holding a Potluck for them after our second service. They have been very loyal and hard workers. We all wish them the best and will continue praying for them. If you would like to support them they are opening an escape room in Kelso, WA called Puzzle Quest. You can look them up on Facebook under the name Puzzle Quest Kelso, or their website http://www.puzzlequestllc.com/

For now our Head Pastor Rob will be stepping into the role till he finds the right fit for our Youth Group.

Youth Group January 17th

WE start our Youth group at 7 pm, doors open at 6:50. We have snacks and just hangout time before starting. We had more kids than we have had the last couple of weeks, so the games lasted longer.
Our Pastor Robbie Talked to them about the parable of seeds being thrown on different soils. For those who don’t know the story this is the jest of it. Seeds were thrown on different soils, some on the walkway, within the thorns, some within the rocks, and the last thrown into the good soil. The seeds thrown on the walkway the birds got to eat them. The ones thrown in the thorns became chocked up and couldn’t grow. The Seeds thrown among the rocks could grow, but couldn’t last. And the final seeds that made it to the good soil, grew into great crops.
The kids were very engaged and really took in what he was saying.
