Work Day Success

We got so much accomplished at our work day on Saturday. Baseboard molding was put down in the main sanctuary, doors, staircases, and shelves were painted, all of the carpet in the main sanctuary and entry way was glued down, the carpet in the portable was torn up, the portable was leveled, the outside perimeter of the church was weeded and barked, and the whole church was scrubbed, vacuumed, and swept.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who spent their Saturday afternoon helping to spruce up the church!

Girl's Night Fun

Teen girl's are having so much fun meeting together two Friday's a month to be crazy and have some girl time. All girl's that are in grades 7th-12th are welcome to join in on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 6:00-8:00pm! So far we've had a Wii-Just Dance Night, Spa Night, Mardi Gras Night, Chick Flick Night, and Karaoke Night. We will not meet together on April 10th due to Spring Break, so our next get together-Girl's Bonfire Night will be on April 24th. All girl's are welcome and asked to bring something to cook over the fire and their own roasting stick. We'll be meeting at the Kalama Marine Park on the sand beneath the Volleyball Courts.

Church Work Day

Help us take care of the building the Lord has entrusted us at our work day this Saturday, March 28th. We have plenty of work to do to get the church looking amazing for our new Easter visitors. Our largest projects will be weeding and spreading new bark, and getting our new portable looking fantastic. Please bring with you tools and some friends. We'll provide the food.

Easter Egg Hunt-Get Involved!

I am so excited about our church putting on this Egg Hunt to serve the children of this Community....how Jesus! In order to put this event on though, we do need some help. So, if you're interested in being a part of this event or helping, there are three ways we could use your help.

1. PROMOTION! We want for this to be an awesome event where kids can come and hunt for eggs, meet the Easter Bunny, and have a blast. In order for this to happen though...they need to know about it.
~We have an event on Facebook where you can click "Going" and then click "Invite" and invite all of your friends that have kids or friends that know people with kids (so everyone) in this area. You can also under that same "Invite" tab click "Share Event" and share the event to your wall on Facebook so everyone sees it!

2. WORK THE EVENT! We're anticipating a lot of kids and with a lot of kids, we'll need a lot of volunteers. We're asking that volunteers would come to the kid's park (Toteff Park) in Kalama at 9:00am on Saturday, April 4th to help hide eggs, greet people, and supervise the children.

3. DONATE EGGS & CANDY! If each child that came to the egg hunt left with 20 eggs, and we had 250 kids, that's 5,000 eggs that we'd need filled stuffed with candy. We need A LOT of eggs and candy! We do have some donations, and we're so thankful for those of you that have given them, but we need more!!! Some girls from RiverView's youth group will be filling the eggs THIS Friday night so if you can donate plastic eggs and/or candy, please drop some by the church sometime this week! We have things going on at the church every day of the week. If the door's not unlocked, you can drop the donations off under the covered front porch and one of the leaders will pick them up.

Hooray for new lights!

As awesome as that one stage spot light is...our new church lights are hung. They make a world of difference for the lighting in the church and we're thrilled to have them!

 

Men's Packwood Lake Day Hike

The men's day hike had a an awesome turn out of 22 men that drove up to Pack-wood Lake to hike. The men had a great time and got to see some fantastic scenic views.
All men are welcome to join us on April 18th as we go for another hike, this time at the Columbia Gorge.
